Dixon Display Technologies Secures ECMS Approval for Display Module Sub-Assembly

Dixon Technologies (India) Limited has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Dixon Display Technologies Private Limited (DDTPL), has received approval under the Government of India’s Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS). The approval was granted on Monday, March 30, 2026, and enables the subsidiary to undertake display module sub-assembly operations.

Under the scheme, DDTPL will focus on manufacturing display module sub-assemblies, strengthening Dixon’s capabilities in key electronic components.

Commenting on the development, Atul B. Lall, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Dixon Technologies (India) Limited, stated that the approval marks a significant step in the company’s journey to bolster India’s electronics manufacturing ecosystem. He added that the initiative supports the country’s self-reliance goals in critical components such as display modules.

Lall further noted that through Dixon Display Technologies Private Limited, the company aims to expand its capabilities in liquid crystal modules and TFT-LCD modules, enhancing its ability to serve customers more effectively. He emphasized that the move aligns with Dixon’s long-term vision of driving innovation, increasing value addition, and contributing to India’s emergence as a global manufacturing hub.

Dixon Technologies (India) Limited is one of India’s largest homegrown, design-focused manufacturing companies, operating across multiple segments including consumer electronics, home appliances, lighting, mobile phones, wearables and hearables, refrigerators, and telecom and IT hardware. The company also offers reverse logistics solutions, including repair and refurbishment services for LED TV panels.
