Jindal Stainless Launches ‘Jindal Infinity’ Stainless Steel Rebars in Punjab Retail Market

Jindal Stainless has launched its branded stainless steel rebars, ‘Jindal Infinity’, in the retail segment, marking a strategic shift from its traditional business-to-business model toward direct engagement with end-users in the construction ecosystem.

The product was introduced in Amritsar, Punjab, through a two-day industry-focused event that brought together contractors, architects, and structural engineers. This initial rollout is supported by a distribution network of around 20 partners across the state, aimed at strengthening last-mile availability of advanced construction materials.

With this move, the company is entering the retail construction materials space, targeting a broader customer base that includes individual builders, developers, and infrastructure stakeholders. The launch reflects a growing emphasis on delivering high-performance materials directly at the point of consumption, rather than limiting supply to large-scale institutional projects.

The ‘Jindal Infinity’ rebars are designed to offer superior corrosion resistance, higher load-bearing capacity, and enhanced seismic performance, making them suitable for demanding structural applications. The product is engineered to deliver a service life more than twice that of conventional steel rebars, while also improving fire resistance and long-term durability.

Manufacturing for the product is carried out using billets from the company’s Hisar facility in Haryana, which are further processed into rebars at its Ghaziabad plant, ensuring controlled quality and consistency across production stages.
Commenting on the launch, company leadership emphasised the need to shift industry focus from initial cost considerations to lifecycle value, safety, and structural longevity, especially as India’s infrastructure and real estate sectors continue to scale rapidly.

Following the Punjab rollout, the company plans to expand availability to Ludhiana and Chandigarh, and subsequently to markets in Haryana and Andhra Pradesh over the next 6 to 12 months, with a broader nationwide expansion in view.
The launch signals a broader trend in the construction materials industry, where premium, performance-driven products are increasingly gaining traction, driven by the need for durability, sustainability, and reduced lifecycle maintenance in modern infrastructure projects.
