Roofsol Energy Pvt Ltd has announced the signing of a 2 MWp Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) under the OPEX model with Whirlpool of India Ltd. for its manufacturing facility.
The partnership marks a significant step in Whirlpool India’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its sustainability initiatives by adopting clean and efficient energy solutions. As one of India’s leading home appliance manufacturers, the company continues to focus on reducing its environmental impact through renewable energy integration.
According to Roofsol Energy, the project is expected to generate approximately 3–3.5 million units of green power annually, while helping offset nearly 2,500–3,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions each year. This will contribute significantly to lowering the carbon footprint of Whirlpool’s manufacturing operations.
The agreement further highlights the growing adoption of the OPEX solar model, enabling industries to transition to renewable energy without upfront capital investment.
With this collaboration, Roofsol Energy continues to expand its portfolio of commercial and industrial solar projects, supporting businesses in their journey toward sustainable and cost-efficient energy solutions.
