Serentica Renewables Appoints Aashish Ghai as Chief Financial Officer

Serentica Renewables has announced the appointment of Aashish Ghai as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In this role, he will lead the company’s financial strategy, governance, investor relations and business transformation initiatives as Serentica continues to expand its renewable energy portfolio.

With nearly a decade of experience, Ghai brings expertise in leading finance organisations through periods of growth and transformation. A seasoned finance leader, his expertise spans strategic finance, controllership, business transformation, M&A, treasury and operational finance. He has worked across sectors including power, renewable energy, manufacturing, infrastructure and industrial services, with experience spanning listed entities, large-scale projects, and global business operations.

Commenting on the appointment, Akshay Hiranandani, CEO, Serentica Renewables, said, “Aashish joins us at a time when Serentica is focused on scaling its clean energy platform and strengthening our operational and financial capabilities. His experience across financial transformation, governance, strategic transactions and operational finance will bring valuable perspective to our leadership team. I am confident his expertise will help strengthen our financial foundation and support the company’s next phase of growth.”

Commenting on his appointment, Aashish Ghai said, “Serentica is at a stage where the focus is on building scale with operational and financial discipline. My priority will be to strengthen financial planning, enhance governance and control frameworks and build scalable systems that support sustainable growth. I look forward to partnering closely with the leadership team to enable execution as the company continues to expand its clean energy portfolio.”

Prior to joining Serentica, Aashish was working as a Chief Financial Officer and Whole Time Director at GE Power India, where he led the company’s financial turnaround and strategic finance agenda. In this role, he partnered closely with business leadership teams to drive EBITDA growth, cash flow delivery, operational efficiency and expansion initiatives across India and international markets.

He began his career with GE Vernova and GE Steam Power across FP&A, operations finance, project finance, supply chain finance and separation management. During his tenure, he led multiple strategic initiatives including M&A transactions, treasury optimisation, governance enhancement, investor engagement and finance transformation programmes. He also played a key role in improving operational performance, strengthening internal controls, and driving productivity initiatives across the organisation.
