Adani Power Limited has incorporated a new step-down wholly owned subsidiary, Rawatbhata-Raj Atomic Energy Limited (RRAEL), marking a strategic expansion into the nuclear energy segment. The entity was established on April 20, 2026, in India through Adani Atomic Energy Limited (AAEL), which is itself a wholly owned subsidiary of the company.
RRAEL has been formed to undertake activities related to the generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity derived from nuclear and atomic energy. The move aligns with the company’s broader objective of diversifying its energy portfolio and strengthening its presence in future-ready power generation technologies.
The newly incorporated entity has been set up with an authorised capital of ₹5 lakh, divided into 50,000 equity shares of ₹10 each. The entire shareholding of RRAEL is held by AAEL, maintaining full ownership within the Adani Power structure. In turn, AAEL continues to remain a wholly owned subsidiary of Adani Power Limited.
The incorporation was completed through a cash subscription, reinforcing the company’s commitment to building capabilities in the nuclear energy space through internal investments.
This development reflects Adani Power’s continued focus on expanding its footprint across diverse energy verticals, including conventional and emerging power generation sectors, to support long-term growth and energy security objectives.
