Bihar State Power Transmission Company Limited (BSPTCL) and REC Power Development & Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) framework for the development of intra-state transmission projects in Bihar. The initiative is aimed at strengthening and modernising the state’s transmission infrastructure to create a reliable and future-ready power network.

The MoU signing ceremony was attended by several senior dignitaries, including Hon’ble Energy Minister Shri Shailesh Kumar alias Bulo Mandal, Energy Secretary, Government of Bihar and CMD of BSPHCL Shri Ajay Yadav (IAS), Executive Director of REC Limited Shri Prince Dhawan (IAS), and Managing Director of BSPTCL Shri Rahul Kumar (IAS). Senior officials from the Energy Department, BSPTCL, BSPHCL, and RECPDCL were also present.

Speaking on the occasion, Hon’ble Energy Minister Shri Shailesh Kumar alias Bulo Mandal stated that the initiative will play a crucial role in advancing Bihar’s industrial growth vision for 2025–30 and ensuring a stable and reliable power supply for upcoming industrial developments across the state.

The partnership is expected to enhance transparency in bidding processes, accelerate project execution, support grid modernisation, and encourage greater private sector participation and investment in Bihar.
