REC Limited Appoints Shri Rajiv Ranjan Jha as Nominee Director

REC Limited, a Maharatna public sector enterprise, has announced the appointment of Shri Rajiv Ranjan Jha as Nominee Director of Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC) on its Board, effective April 6, 2026. The appointment has been approved by the Ministry of Power, Government of India.

The decision follows the provisions outlined in the Share Purchase Agreement dated March 20, 2019, between the President of India and PFC. The Ministry of Power, through its official order dated April 6, 2026, conveyed the approval of the competent authority for Mr. Jha’s nomination to REC’s Board.

Shri Rajiv Ranjan Jha currently serves as Director (Projects) at PFC and brings with him nearly four decades of professional experience. He has been associated with PFC since March 1997 and has been holding the additional charge of Director (Projects) since October 28, 2021. Prior to this, he served as Executive Director (Projects) from May 2019.

An engineering graduate in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Jamshedpur under Ranchi University, Mr. Jha also holds a Diploma in Management from IGNOU.His deep expertise in project execution and management is expected to provide valuable strategic oversight as a member of the REC Board.
