AMPIN Energy Transition has announced the commissioning of a 45 MWp solar project in Odisha, marking its second consecutive group captive commercial and industrial (C&I) open access project under the OREP-22 policy framework. The project is located in Patnagarh and represents a key milestone in the state’s renewable energy transition.
The project has been executed on an end-to-end basis by AMPIN, covering land acquisition, construction, and commissioning. It is connected to the grid through a Line-In-Line-Out (LILO) arrangement, ensuring efficient power evacuation and integration.
The solar plant is supplying clean energy to several leading corporates, including Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Limited, Parle Products Pvt Ltd, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, Arya Iron and Steel Company Private Limited, and Shree Ganesh Metaliks Ltd. The project is expected to replace nearly 50% of their conventional grid power consumption, enabling cost savings of 25–30% while ensuring a stable supply of renewable energy.
In addition to economic benefits, the project is estimated to reduce approximately 57 metric tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually, contributing to environmental sustainability goals. The impact is said to be equivalent to planting around 2.7 million trees each year.
AMPIN is further expanding its footprint in Odisha, with an additional 45 MWp currently under construction and a 50 MWp pipeline under development. The company aims to build a portfolio of around 200 MWp in the state, supported by Odisha’s progressive Green Energy Open Access (GEOA) policy, energy banking provisions, and a favorable ecosystem for renewable energy investments.
The development underscores AMPIN’s growing role in advancing group captive renewable solutions and supporting industrial decarbonization in India.
