State-owned power major NTPC Ltd. has announced the commencement of commercial operations for 100 MW capacity of its 176 MW Solar PV project located in Ramagundam, Telangana, effective from 2nd May, 2026.
The declaration follows the successful commissioning of the solar capacity, marking another milestone in NTPC’s renewable energy expansion strategy.
With this addition, the total installed capacity of the NTPC Group has reached 89,805 MW, while its commercial capacity now stands at 88,725 MW, reinforcing its position as India’s leading power utility.
The company disclosed this development in a regulatory filing submitted to both the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE), in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
